Specifying the boot device in the system BIOS
Insert the LiveCD disk into the CD drive of the system on which you want to run it. If your system is not already configured to boot from a CD or DVD, if one is present, you must configure it to boot from LiveCD.
To specify the boot device:
- During the boot sequence, press the appropriate key (for example, <F2>) to interrupt the boot sequence and enter the BIOS setup program for your system.
- In the boot sequence menu, arrange the boot devices such that the device name for the CD or DVD drive is first in the list. This arrangement allows the system to boot from a CD or DVD, if one is present.
- Save the settings and reboot the system. When the system restarts, it boots from LiveCD.
After the system has booted, confirm that you can access it from your network.
