Log in to Vyatta NOS at the CLI

How to log in to Vyatta NOS through the CLI.

Open the CLI and log in.
Note: In our examples, we indicate the user and the system that they are logged into with a generic identity, user@system.
The CLI does not echo the password on screen as you type.

Notice that the command prompt takes the operational mode form :~$. The CLI always defaults to operational mode after login.

Log out of Vyatta NOS at the CLI

How to log out of Vyatta NOS at the CLI.

At the operational mode prompt, use the exit command to log out.
user@system:~$ exit
If you are remotely connected to the system via SSH you will see something like this:
logout
Connection to 192.168.122.123 closed.
user@host:~$
If you are directly connected to the console you will see something like:
logout
