Modified features - Connsync stability and robustness enhancements
This feature provides enhancements to the stateful firewall failover to improve performance and reliability.
vRouters Stateful Firewall Failover (Connsync) feature provides a mechanism to deploy a high-availability firewall pair in an active standby configuration. Normally a VRRP interface failover in an active-standby configuration will work where stateless firewalls are deployed. With stateful firewalls, a simple VRRP failover will cause all the connection states in the active router to be lost and hence those connections will break once the VRRP transition happens.
The stateful failover is achieved is by creating a copy of the firewall session table in the standby router that closely follows the master's session table, and when a VRRP transition happens, as most of the states are already in the standby firewall, it allows the flows to continue. This functionality now runs faster and more reliably
There are no deprecated features in this release.
