policy qos name <policy-name> shaper class <class-id> match <rule-name> police bandwidth <limit>
Controls the definition of the policing rule for bandwidth for a QoS policy class.
policy- This keyword exists for 'organizational' purposes only, to structure the configuration path for relevant command strings.
qos- This keyword exists for 'organizational' purposes only, to structure the configuration path for relevant command strings.
name <policy-name>- Specifies the name of a QoS policy.
shaper- This keyword exists for 'organizational' purposes only, to structure the configuration path for relevant command strings.
class <class-id>- Specifies the numeric identifier of a QoS policy class.
match <rule-name>- Specifies the name of a matching rule.
bandwidth <limit>The maximum bandwidth. Vyatta uses a 'maximum bandwidth' model of QoS, rather than a 'guaranteed bandwidth' model.
Depending on your QoS configuration, you can set a maximum bandwidth limit for a shaper, profile or traffic class.
- To define the limit with the default units of kilobits per second, you may use a number only.
- To define the limit with other units, use a number plus a suffix. No space. For example:
10mbit;40%.
Vyatta NOS supports these suffixes:
- No suffix: Kilobits (1000 bits) per second
gbit: Gigabits (1000 megabits) per secondgbps: Gigabytes (1000 megabytes) per secondgi: Gibibits (1024 mebibits) per secondkbit: Kilobits (1000 bits) per secondkbps: Kilobytes (1000 bytes) per secondki: Kibibits (1024 bits) per secondmbit: Megabits (1000 kilobits) per secondmbps: Megabytes (1000 kilobytes) per secondmi: Mebibits (1024 kibibits) per second%: Percentage of the total bandwidth
