NAT has three main types:

• Source NAT. This NAT is also called SNAT. “Masquerade” NAT is a special type of SNAT.
• Destination NAT. This NAT is also called DNAT.
• Bidirectional NAT. When both SNAT and DNAT are configured, the result is bidirectional NAT.
