Vyatta documentation

Learn how to install, configure, and operate the Vyatta Network Operating System (Vyatta NOS) and Orchestrator, which help drive our virtual networking and physical platforms portfolio.

NETCONF is a protocol that provides mechanisms for the remote management of network devices.

These mechanisms support a range of operations, such as:

  • Access information on the state of a network device
  • Install, manipulate or delete network device configuration
  • Execute requests through the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) protocol
