show session-table

This command captures the system state of all session tracked and managed by the system.

Example: show session-table

$OS_PROMPT$ show session table
TCP state codes: SS - SYN SENT, SR - SYN RECEIVED, ES - ESTABLISHED, FW - FIN WAIT,
CW - CLOSE WAIT, CG - CLOSING, LA - LAST ACK, TW - TIME WAIT, RR - RST RECEIVED, CL - CLOSED

CONN ID	Source Destination	Protocol	TIMEOUT	Intf	Parent
1	10.14.8.218:53212 10.14.74.39:50	tcp [6] TW	234	dp0s5	0
2	10.14.8.218:53214	10.14.74.39:50	tcp [6] TW	234	dp0s5	0

We can see these facts about connection ID 1:

  • It is a flow on to IPv4 address 10.14.74.39 on port 50
  • This flow originates on IPv4 address 10.14.8.218 on the ephemeral port 53212
  • This system observed and created the session entry for this flow on interface dp0s5
