Install the Vyatta NOS VMware template

Install Vyatta NOS VMware template on VMware ESX or ESXi.

To simplify the installation process, Ciena provides an optimized VMware template for each release of Vyatta NOS.

Before installing the template on VMware ESX or ESXi, download the template and disk image files, refer to the About this guide section for more information.

Open the vSphere Client GUI.
At the File menu, select Deploy OVF Template.
In the Deploy from OVF window, go to the Source page and navigate to the folder that contains the template .ovf and disk image .vmdk files that you downloaded. Open the template .ovf file.
A deployment dialog opens.
Follow the instructions in the deployment dialog. Customize your deployment for the local site as appropriate.
Your customized deployment is complete.

Installation is complete. You can now start the virtual machine and check the installation.
