Configure DSCP groups

An example that shows you how to configure DSCP groups, with different ranges of DSCP values.

To define two DSCP groups, do these steps:
  1. Define a DSCP group called grp-0-to-15 and assign the DSCP values 0 to 15 to it.
    user@system# set resources dscp-group grp-0-to-15 dscp 0
    user@system# set resources dscp-group grp-0-to-15 dscp 1
    through to
    user@system# set resources dscp-group grp-0-to-15 dscp 14
    user@system# set resources dscp-group grp-0-to-15 dscp 15
  2. Define a DSCP group called grp-16-to-63 and assign the DSCP values 16 to 63 to it.
    user@system# set resources dscp-group grp-16-to-63 dscp 16
    user@system# set resources dscp-group grp-16-to-63 dscp 17
    through to
    user@system# set resources dscp-group grp-16-to-63 dscp 62
    user@system# set resources dscp-group grp-16-to-63 dscp 63
The DSCP groups are defined. To use a DSCP group, insert its name as we explain in appropriate QoS command topics.
